ZAV Info Centre

If you have any questions on the topics working in Germany, you can contact the ZAV Info Centre directly. You can contact their hotline via +49 228 713 1313. The team is available to deal with your enquiries on Monday to Friday from 8.00 am to 6.00 pm and will be glad to give you first level information or put you in touch with a personal contact person, if required, who can provide further advice. Locations of the International Placement Services

If you would like to receive initial information in person and in situ, you can of course also visit one of the twelve offices of the International Placement Service. These are in Berlin, Bremen, Dortmund, Dresden, Erfurt, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Magdeburg, Nuremberg, Rostock, Stuttgart and Trier. EURES and EUROGUIDANCE

The first place to obtain information and advice on the subject of opportunities for working in Germany is from the EURES advisors in your country. You can find the nearest EURES advisors in your local area by using the search function on the EURES website. There is also the EUROGUIDANCE network for finding out about mobility in the area of education and training in Europe. You will find the contact addresses of the advice centre in your country on their website.

Special service in border regions

There are special information and advice services for employees from neighbouring countries who want to work in Germany in the German border areas. Contact persons can be found at www.zav-auslandsvermittlung.de/grenzregionen.

EUROPE DIRECT

EUROPE DIRECT answers any general questions on the topic of the rights and opportunities available to EU citizens. In the case of very specific questions, you will also be told the best sources of information or offices for obtaining advice at national, regional and local levels in the EU. The call centre can be contacted Monday to Friday from 09:00 am to 6:30 pm on the free call number 00 800 67 89 10 11.

Your Europe advice

Any enquiries which EUROPE DIRECT cannot answer are forwarded to the Your Europe advice database. You can also turn to Your Europe advice direct with any questions and problems you may have concerning the topic of mobility. You will be answered by telephone or by e-mail.

If you are encountering any problems with authorities, who, in your opinion, are failing to apply Single Market prescriptions properly, then Solvit is the right place to turn to. The EU member states endeavour to find pragmatic solutions to such problems in this online network. Solvit provides assistance with residency permits, the recognition of professional qualifications and diplomas, questions on social security and employee rights and access to basic and advanced education and training.
