Staff Representation

The staff representation bodies of the Federal Employment Agency (BA) perform the rights of co-determination and participation in accordance with the law on federal staff representation (Bundespersonalvertretungsrecht) for the employees as well as for civil servants within the BA.

There are staff councils elected by the corresponding employees in all offices – at the Employment Agencies as well as at the Regional Directorates, the Head Office and the Specialised Offices.

Apart from that, there are “tier representations” on the level of the Regional Directorates and the Head Office (county staff council or main staff council).

In all matters affecting the entire Federal Employment Agency, the main staff council represents the interests of the aforementioned employees. The main staff council consists of 31 members. The committee assembles monthly for a rotational meeting.
