The Bundesagentur für Arbeit supports all people in Germany who look for work. We are a public authority that you can contact free of charge.
We advise and support you in the following cases:
- If you are looking for work or an apprenticeship.
- If you want to take a training course.
- If you want to have your professional degree recognised.
- If you want to learn German.

Our departments – for consultation in your vicinity
The Bundesagentur für Arbeit is represented nationwide. Local agencies are also called "departments".
You can seek advice at a Bundesagentur für Arbeit, even if you have no or little knowledge of German. You can be accompanied by a person who you trust and who will act as an interpreter. You can also inform us in advance that you need an interpreter. We will then initiate all necessary steps.

Children who fled from Ukraine may be entitled to child benefit in Germany.
