12 Dec 2018 | Press Release No. 36
Applicants can quickly and easily get video advice from the comfort of their home and complete the child allowance application while at home. This means, that they no longer have to go to an office in person for advice.
Karsten Bunk, head of the family fund, explains the background to the new service: "The child supplement is an important social benefit for low-income families. At the same time, there is a great need for advice on this social benefit. With video consulting, we have adopted a modern approach in order to be able to help people individually, simply and quickly with their application. "We're living up to our claim of being close to the families as an administration."
In the medium term, the Family Fund would like to expand video consulting to include other consulting topics, "so that even more families can take advantage of this innovative opportunity", Bunk continues.
How does video consulting work?
There are several options for those who want to take advantage of the video advice on child supplement: Applicants may either come to an office. There is an unobstructed room, where the video consultation can be conducted. Alternatively, interested parties who have installed the Skype video telephony program on their mobile end device or PC/laptop at home can take advantage of the video consultation on the move and at home. An appointment for this can be made via the website of the Family Fund. The appointment confirmation will then be sent by e-mail. This mail contains a link to start the video consultation on the agreed date, simply by a mouse click.
