Daniel Terzenbach starts his official duties today as an executive Board member of the Federal Employment Agency. He was unanimously appointed by the Administrative Board of the BA in October 2018 as the successor of the departing Board Executive for Regions, Raimund Becker. The Federal Government accepted this proposal by the Administrative Board. The regular term of office for Executive Board members is five years.
Daniel Terzenbach sees, first and foremost, three challenges for the Federal Agency as Board Executive for Regions: Lifelong learning of employees and the qualification of job seekers, the social labour market and the safeguarding of skilled workers in the context of immigration.
He expects, 'that the basic structure of the labour market will change from being an employer market to an employee market'. Thereby, the demands on us have increased - the different needs of our customers have to be more in the focus of our work in the future," says Daniel Terzenbach.
Daniel Terzenbach was born on November 7, 1980 in Freiensteinau. He studied social management in Dortmund.
His professional career at the BA commenced at the beginning of 2006 at job centre Märkischer Kreis. There he designed and managed strategic projects and contributed decisively to the development of local cooperations and cross-regional networks in the then newly created structures of the SGB II.
Since 2009, he has been responsible for the organisation and business policy of the BA at headquarters in a changing work environment and in particular for the strategy for the future potential of the qualified labour force. In October 2015, the board entrusted him with the important task of integrating the labour market for refugees, next to his tasks as a senior manager in corporate management.
Since 2017 he has been a managing director at the headquarters of the Federal Employment Agency and responsible for the area "Quality - Implementation - Consulting".
He is married and has one child.
