Information on basic income support for job seekers ("Hartz IV") only available to a limited extent

Payment of cash benefits not affected

12 Nov 2018 | Press Release No. 31

Since last week, the Job Centres, which are operated as a joint facility by the Federal Agency and the municipalities, have only been able to access customers' electronic files nationwide with a time delay. For this reason, information on the basic pension for job seekers ("Hartz IV") is not always possible in a timely manner.

Cash benefits will continue to be paid as this IT procedure is not affected. All incoming applications will be processed. No data was lost, either.

IT is working at high speed to rectify the fault. The employment agencies (SGB III / Unemployment benefit I) and family funds (child benefit) are not affected.
