The Federal Employment Agency regrets the resulting restrictions and inconvenience caused to its clients.
Technical fault in our own systems
The reason for the temporary functional restrictions was a technical fault in the Federal Employment Agency’s own IT systems. The cause has been rectified. A hacker attack could be completely ruled out as the cause.
No disadvantages for affected customers
Customers who were unable to submit the required notifications via the online services during this period will not suffer any disadvantages as a result. This also applies to the consequences under benefits legislation, such as waiting periods.
Backdated notifications can be submitted for the period from 30 September to 4 October
If customers unsuccessfully attempted to submit notifications, such as jobseeker registrations, via our online services during the period from Wednesday, 30 September 2026 up to and including Sunday, 4 October 2026, they may refer to the technical functional restriction. You should make this clear when contacting them by telephone or in person this week.
The BA asks customers to submit any necessary notifications by Friday 9 October.
The Federal Employment Agency would like to thank its clients for their understanding.
