Reference number W2880, salary in accordance with the German TV-L salary scale1, pay grade: E13 TV- L, duration of employment: Two years with a possible extention, volume of employment: 100 % of standard.

Job requirements and responsibilities:

In recent years a new field has emerged: AI for Science. Our group has a long and strong tradition in language modelling (several best paper awards at major NLP conferences) and is building on top of this. Our research is done in very close collaboration with the Helmholtz Institute for Pharmaceutical Research as well as the University Hospital, giving us access to exciting unique data.

Your academic qualifications:

• Doctoral degree / PhD in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, Bioinformatics, Physics, Mathematics or similar
• Language skills (according to GER): Excellent English on C1 level

The successful candidate will also be expected to:

• Have excellent knowledge of machine learning
• deep learning, excellent programming skills
• have successfully worked both independently and as part of a small team
• Language skills (according to GER): English on C1 level 1
