Stellenbeschreibung

The Hotel Dampfmühle offers 85 rooms with an attractive variety of categories: from modern deluxe rooms, comfortable studios to luxurious wellness suites. Various event areas, as well as the Jules breakfast restaurant with a generous terrace, as well as the small fitness area with sauna and rooftop terrace and wellness sublet offerings complete the range of services. Ideally located between the Ruhr area and the Lower Rhine, we combine hotel operations, events and personal hospitality in a special location with a lot of potential. With us, you will find a secure job in a medium-sized company, a planable monthly service schedule, holiday and Christmas pay, and fair working conditions without unpaid overtime. We would like to strengthen our team and are ideally looking for one or two people who are willing to actively help design our house. We are open to different profiles: from young talent after training to experienced hotel professionals to motivated people who have not previously had the opportunity to take on more responsibility.

Your possible areas of work depending on your experience, interest and strengths, you can be employed with us in one or more areas:

  • Reception & Guest Services Welcome
  • Care and acceptance of our hotel guests
  • Check-in and check-out
  • Acceptance and processing of reservations and requests Telephone and written guest Correspondence Accounting,
  • Payment processing and cash management
  • Maintenance of guest data and reservations in the hotel system
  • Contact person or point of contact for guest requests, questions and complaints Collaboration with housekeeping
  • Breakfast service/kitchen and events area
  • Care for our guests in the breakfast and service areas
  • Preparation, set up and maintenance of the breakfast buffet
  • Serving food and drinks Ensuring a pleasant atmosphere for our guests
  • Pre- and post-preparation of the service area
  • Compliance with hygiene, quality and service standards
  • Organization & Responsibility
  • Additional duties are available depending on suitability

For candidates wishing to take on more responsibilities:

  • Assistance with service planning and day-to-day organisation
  • Coordination between reception, housekeeping, service and kitchen
  • Induction of new employees Participation in the optimization of processes

  • Active participation in shaping guest satisfaction and service quality

Ideally, bring:

  • Experience in hospitality, catering, service, reception or guest care
  • Education as a hotel professional, restaurant professional or a comparable qualification is advantageous but not a requirement
  • Motivated newcomers are also welcome
  • Friendly well-mannered and professional appearance
  • Pleasure in contact with people
  • Team spirit, sense of responsibility and a structured way of working
  • Good knowledge of German; English is an advantage
  • Flexibility for early, late, weekend and holiday services
  • Willingness to provide cross-disciplinary support depending on strengths
  • Willingness to develop and take responsibility
