IT Technician (m/w/d) for the Chairs "Artificial Intelligence & Society" and "Trustworthy Human Language Technologies"

Your tasks:

• Installation, configuration, administration and maintenance of software and hardware (PCs, tablets, servers and in particular a duster environment) with various operating systems (Linux, macOS, iOS, Windows) for use in research and teaching
• Selection, ordering and testing of required devices and components (e.g. GPUs)
• Administration and maintenance of printers, copiers and computer networks
• Installation and administration of special software packages, e.g. for GPU computing (e.g. CUDA), deep learning (e.g. PyTorch) and optimization (e.g. cvxopt, cvxpy)
• Configuration and administration of services (e.g. HT TP, DNS, DHCP), websites (e.g. wikis, HTML/CSS/JS), virtualization (e.g. Docker, VMware, Hyper-V), backup; monitoring & scripting (e.g. Bash, Python)
• Technical support for employees of the chairs and faculty in German and English
• Desirable: Further development and administration of open source projects of the working groups (e.g. Python, GitHub, Gitlab)
• Desirable: Management of research data in accordance with DFG, EU, etc. guidelines

Your profile:

• Completed training as an IT specialist, IT systems electronics technician or comparable or a Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or comparable is an advantag
• Several years of professional experience in the IT sector is an advantage. However, applications from well-qualified young professionals are also welcome
• Experience in several points under "Your Tasks"
• Very good written and spoken skills in both English and German
• lnterest in further training, also in the area of desirable tasks
• Independent and reliable way of working and ability to work in a team
