Stellenbeschreibung
Create your own happiness!
Are you a passionate early childhood educator (m/f/d)? Do you put your heart and soul into your work, but haven’t been satisfied with your working conditions so far?
Come check us out—maybe you’ll like what you find here?
What you can look forward to…
The basics: pay, vacation time, and working hours.
We are actually offering a fixed-term full-time position, but a reduction in hours is possible. The full-time workweek is 38 hours. Initially, the contract would be fixed-term due to parental leave, but an extension is possible.
Pay is based on the TVöD SuE collective bargaining agreement and depends on your professional experience and qualifications. A 13th month’s salary (at 100%, instead of 85%) is paid after one year of service. We have between 32 and 34 days of vacation per year. Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve are paid holidays. The cost of an HVV/Deutschlandticket is fully covered, and if interested, you can participate in a fitness program.
The Position: Responsibilities and Working Conditions.
We are looking for at least one new early childhood educator with a perfect command of the English language.
Your responsibilities include the attentive care, nurturing, and support of the infants entrusted to us in accordance with our educational philosophy, working closely with the children, parents, and the entire team. Your would spend your daily life spekaing English.
You would be a permanent member of the nursery team. Some experience in this field and a preference for this age group would be advantageous.
Our working conditions are truly worth highlighting: In the elementary section, four colleagues together care for 35 children; in the nursery section, four additional colleagues care for 16 children. In addition, we employ a housekeeping staff member with educational qualifications and, in the future, a substitute.
We hold weekly team meetings to discuss weekly schedules, activities, and specific situations, as well as to plan parent-teacher conferences and developmental meetings. Our sponsoring organization places great emphasis on providing good working conditions.
The Team: One for all, all for one!
Some of us have been working together successfully and happily for over ten years. It goes without saying that we support one another and treat each other with care. Our sense of humor and our willingness to stand up for one another carry us through the sometimes hectic daily routine of the daycare center.
On concept days, we discuss educational topics, engage in professional development, and reflect on our work. Regular weekly team meetings, preparation time, and supervision are just as much a part of our routine as extended get-togethers during company outings and Christmas parties.
Currently, the team consists exclusively of female colleagues. However, we’d be happy to see that change in the future.
Has this piqued your curiosity? Then be sure to read on…
Important: Empathy, joy, and qualifications.
To ensure we comply with legal requirements, it is very important that our new team member holds a completed, state-recognized qualification as an early childhood educator (m/f/d), a degree in early childhood education or early childhood development, or a degree as a social pedagogue (m/f/d). It would be helpful if you have a good understanding of the English language, as we are a bilingual facility.
We are looking for an empathetic person with a Reggio Emilia approach (including a child-centered perspective) and someone who genuinely enjoys working with children, because we want you to look forward to coming to work.
Feel free to get to know us!
The Daycare Center: Location. Concept. Focus Areas.
The daycare center is located in the heart of Planten un Blomen and is surrounded by plenty of greenery. It is easily accessible by public transportation from all parts of Hamburg (Gänsemarkt, Dammtor, Stephansplatz).
There are two groups, a nursery group and an elementary group, in which 46 children are currently cared for by eight early childhood educators. Our facilities allow us to organize various projects and activities in workshops and specialized rooms.
The foundation of our concept is the Reggio approach. Above all, it reflects our attitude toward others and how we wish to approach life’s changes. Our daycare is a place for self-directed, holistic learning, and we foster a respectful approach not only toward the children entrusted to us, but toward all people.
We integrate key areas such as yoga, woodworking, art studio work, language development, music, relaxation and movement, and preschool preparation into our daily routine. Do you have a particular focus? A passion? Let’s find out together if we can integrate this into our daily routine as well…
Start up initiative: Kindertagesstätte an der Bucerius Law School e.V.
Our small operator, “Kindertagesstätte an der Bucerius Law School e.V.,” was founded in 2008 and is a member of the Paritätischer Wohlfahrtsverband Hamburg. Loki Schmidt was the founding patron of our daycare center.
Our organization consists of a single facility. This means that decisions can be made and implemented quickly, easily, and on an individual basis. Here, people are still allowed to be people; they are heard and are not just a personnel number.
As a member of the Bucerius family and an initiative of the ZEIT STIFTUNG BUCERIUS, our work makes an important contribution to promoting an open, democratic society.
The Future: Do you think we’re a good fit for you?
Then please send us your application materials. We would love to get to know you. You can expect an initial video call with our daycare director, Sandra.
