Set in the small city of Bonn, Germany, on the banks of the Rhine River, BIS enjoys a large, well-resourced, purpose-built campus with generous playgrounds and green spaces.

Starting: August 2026 (2-year initial contract)

Working Hours: Full-time, 187 days per school year

Salary Placement: Dependent on years of experience and based on in-house tariff agreement

Core Responsibilities:

• To teach German classes as allocated by the Primary School Principal and the German Subject Coordinator
• To promote and safeguard the welfare of all children and young people in your care and adhere to the school’s Child Protection policies
• To work in accordance with the school’s mission statement and policies
• To work in close collaboration with other German teachers to plan and implement the teaching and learning of the German curriculum within the PYP
• To actively promote the German language and culture within the school community through supporting cultural events and wider learning events
• To monitor, assess, record and report the progress of achievement of students in accordance school assessment and reporting policies
• To demonstrate commitment, flexibility and active responsiveness in meeting the needs of our diverse community
• To actively engage in professional development opportunities from the IBO about the PYP and the role of language learning
