The Institute for Emerging Electronic Technologies (IET) offers within the working group Perowskite Photovoltaik at the IFW Dresden a position for a
Research Associate (PostDoc) (m/f/div)
starting at 1st of June 2026 in full-time (part-time is possible). The position is limited until 17th of November 2027. The period of employment is governed by the Fixed Term Research Contracts Act (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz-WissZeitVG).
Main tasks:
- Research on spin transport in altermagnets within a common project between IFW Dresden and Czech Academy of Sciences,
- including i.e. fabrication of thin film devices by physical deposition and optical lithography,
- temperature dependent investigations of the transport properties
Your profile:
- PhD degree in physics/chemistry/materials science or comparable
- knowledge in the fields of magnetism, optical lithography, thin-film deposition, handling cryogenic liquids, programming (Python) is desirable, but not a requirement
- very good knowledge of English language
