Stellenbeschreibung

100% Remote Hotel Group Business Development & Discovery Specialist

Remote:  Europe-based preferred, but open to any country supported by our EOR or Germany based.

Company Overview

Hotel Res Bot is a fast-growing SaaS company helping hotel groups improve and automate how they manage group enquiries, reservations, and inbound guest communication.

We work closely with hotel operations, reservations, and group sales teams to reduce manual workload, improve response times, and increase conversion from inbound demand — particularly in complex group booking environments.

Our systems integrate with hotel technology stacks such as PMS and booking engines, but our focus is on real operational workflows inside hotels, not theoretical software processes.

We are a small, international, fully remote team with a strong focus on ownership, clarity, and practical execution.

About the Role

This is not a traditional sales or lead generation role.

We are looking for someone who understands how hotel group and reservation workflows actually operate in practice, and can identify where hotels are losing or slowing down group revenue due to operational friction.

You will not be doing high-volume outbound, and this is not a SDR role.

Instead, you will work with hotel groups and chains to uncover real operational bottlenecks in group enquiry handling — and turn those into structured commercial opportunities for our sales team.

Important Context

In most hotel groups, group enquiries are still handled through complex, manual, email-based workflows involving multiple stakeholders (property, regional, HQ).

This creates a consistent set of problems:

  • Slow response times reduce conversion rates
  • Revenue management decisions can conflict with group sales priorities
  • Opportunities are frequently lost due to internal coordination delays
  • Communication between teams is often fragmented across systems and email threads

We are not looking for someone to “push a product”.

We are looking for someone who understands these workflows deeply enough to identify where revenue is being lost — and why.

This Role is NOT for you if:
  • Your experience is mainly SaaS outbound / SDR / cold calling
  • You prefer high-volume prospecting or scripted outreach
  • You have no experience in hotel operations, reservations, or group sales
  • You are looking for a closing sales role
  • You are not familiar with how hotel group enquiries are handled in practice
This Role IS for you if:
  • You have worked in hotel group sales, reservations, or hotel operations
  • You understand how group enquiries are processed, delayed, and lost in real hotel environments
  • You are comfortable speaking with hotel operational and commercial stakeholders
  • You are curious about why hotels lose group business in practice, not theory
  • You can translate operational reality into structured commercial insight
Responsibilities
1. Opportunity Identification
  • Identify hotel groups and chains with inefficient group enquiry workflows
  • Initiate conversations with relevant stakeholders (reservations, group sales, HQ)
  • Understand how group demand is handled from request to decision
2. Discovery Work
  • Conduct structured conversations to understand real operational workflows
  • Map internal decision-making structures across property and HQ levels
  • Identify bottlenecks, delays, and revenue leakage points in group handling
3. Opportunity Structuring
  • Summarise findings into clear, structured opportunity briefs
  • Define operational problem, commercial impact, and stakeholder setup
  • Prepare opportunities for handover to senior sales team
4. Continuous Learning
  • Build deeper understanding of hotel group sales and reservation dynamics
  • Identify recurring patterns across hotel types and chains
  • Improve approach based on real-world outcomes
Requirements
Must Have
  • Experience in hotel operations, reservations, or group sales
  • Strong understanding of how group enquiries are handled in practice
  • Familiarity with hotel communication workflows (especially email-based processes)
  • Ability to speak confidently with hotel operational and commercial teams
  • Fluent English (written and spoken)
Strong Advantage
  • Experience in hotel chains or multi-property environments
  • Exposure to PMS or booking systems
  • Understanding of revenue management constraints in hotels
  • Spanish (highly valued)  or German language skills
What Success Looks Like

Within the first 2–3 months, success means:

  • You understand in detail how group and reservation workflows operate in real hotel environments
  • You can identify where hotels are losing or delaying group revenue
  • You consistently engage relevant hotel stakeholders in meaningful conversations
  • You generate structured, actionable opportunities that the sales team can immediately work with
Compensation
  • Base salary: €35,000 – €40,000 (depending on experience and location)
  • Variable: 2.5% ARR on closed-won deals you originate

No payment for activity, meetings, or outreach volume.
Compensation is tied to revenue you help originate through real opportunities.

Working Style
  • Fully remote (Europe-based preferred)
  • High autonomy and ownership
  • Direct collaboration with founders and senior sales
  • Fast-moving environment focused on real operational understanding
  • Strong emphasis on learning from real hotel workflows
How to Apply

Please send:

  • Your CV or short professional background
  • A brief explanation of your experience in hotels (especially reservations, group sales, or operations)
  • Examples of working with group enquiries, inbound requests, or hotel communication workflows
  • Why you are interested in improving how hotels manage group and reservation revenue processes
