In order to fill a fixed-term position in full-time (39.83 hours/week = 100%) at the earliest possible date, we are looking for a

Research associate (m/f/x)

The main focus on PTT's research is on semiconductor lasers. Starting frommaterial science aspects, like investigations of new semiconductor materialsand spintronics, we are heavily involved in the exploration of the semiconductorlaser dynamics, and in applications of semiconductor laser systems in opticalimaging and Terahertz (THz) Technology.

As a research associate (m/f/x), you will work on Optical Imaging in scattering tissue. You will independently and reliably prepare and carry out experiments, do numerical calculations, analyse the results and publish them in peer-reviewed journals. You are expected to supervise and guide students (m/f/x) in the international Master program Lasers and Photonics.

Duration: fixed-term, 3 Jahre

• Tasks in research (experimentally / analytically) in the field of Optical Imaging in scattering tissue
• Preparing and submitting publications
• Presenting of research results
• Support in submitting research applications
• Supervision of Master students

Your profile:

• Candidates (m/f/x) should hold a master degree (or diploma) in Electrical Engineering or Physics.
• Ideally the candidate (m/f/x) has experience in Experimental techniques and numerical modelling of Optical Imaging in scattering tissue as well as in data analysis.
• The candidate (m/f/x) is expected to have excellent English oral and written skills.
