The Human Resources Director is responsible for leading all HR functions for a 500-employee automotive manufacturing operation. This role serves as a strategic business partner to senior management while ensuring effective HR operations, labor relations, talent management, compliance, and organizational development.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead workforce planning, recruitment, talent development, and succession planning.
  • Partner with plant leadership to support productivity, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Manage employee relations and maintain positive relationships with the Works Council.
  • Ensure compliance with German labor law and company policies.
  • Oversee compensation, benefits, performance management, and payroll administration.
  • Drive HR digitalization and process improvement initiatives.
  • Lead organizational change and culture development programs.
  • Manage and develop the HR team.
