Test Automation Engineer (f/m/d) at an established IT-Security Company

Join us as a Test Automation Engineer — ready to grow, get hands-on with real-world security software, and help make sure every release is as solid as it can be. You don’t have to know everything (yet) — but you should be curious, reliable, and not afraid to break things in the name of better quality. You'll be joining our Enterprise Team, which focuses on the needs of our large corporate clients - particularly when it comes to customized solutions and cryptographic applications. Help us to change our Z1 products to meet the needs of our enterprise customers.

Develop and test

• Design, develop, and execute automated software tests
• Analyze test results and debug issues found by automated tests
• Conduct manual tests when automated testing is deemed excessive

Collaborate and support

• Collaborate closely with developers to understand system requirements, functional specifications, strategies, and solutions
• Identify, report, and track defects, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution
• Support the team in analyzing bugs in CI/CD pipelines

Document and improve

• Generate test reports, metrics, and documentation to communicate test results and status to project stakeholders
• Stay updated on the latest trends, tools, and technologies in test automation and quality assurance

Your profile

• Proven experience as a Test Automation Engineer of at least 3 years
• Competent in Selenium and Java programming language
• Skilled in testing web and backend services effectively
• Knowledgeable in Agile software development methodologies
• Familiar in Git for version control
• Familiar with Linux and shell scripting
• Experience with Docker for containerization
• Familiar with Gradle build tools
• Excellent English language skills, at least C1 level

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with tools like TestRail, JIRA, Confluence
• Experience with cryptographic concepts and its basic principles
• Working with Smart Cards/Hardware Security Modules or Key Vault services
• Understanding of Email protocols and RFCs like SMTP, MIME, S/MIME, OpenPGP 
• Good German language skills
