About the role:

We're a close-knit team building one of Europe's leading brands for strength training and gym equipment. We're looking for a highly organised, detail-oriented kaufmännische/r Assistent/in to join our Berlin team. This is a broad, hands-on role: you'll keep our office and HR administration running smoothly, and you'll also take ownership of our monthly bookkeeping preparation - pulling together sales, payment, and expense data across our ecommerce channels (Shopify, Amazon, Brightpearl) ready for our accountant.

You'll be trained directly by the current job-holder during a structured handover, so you'll have real support getting up to speed.

What you'll do:

  • Prepare monthly bookkeeping files across our sales and payment platforms (Shopify, Brightpearl, Amazon, Revolut, Mollie) for our external accountant
  • Handle invoice filing, payment execution, petty cash, and carrier billing checks
  • Own general office administration: post, supplies, shared inboxes, vendor coordination
  • Support HR processes end-to-end: recruiting coordination, onboarding, sick leave, contracts, and compliance reporting
  • Management assistance for ad hoc projects
  • Be a first point of contact for internal questions across the business
  • Other diverse tasks that can arise in a fast-growing company

What you bring:

  • Completed commercial training (e.g. Kauffrau/-mann für Büromanagement) or equivalent experience
  • Comfort working with numbers/Excel and multiple online sales platforms; prior bookkeeping-adjacent experience is a strong plus (full accounting qualification not required)
  • Strong organisational skills and reliability with deadline-driven monthly tasks
  • Warm and precise communication with fluency in German and business level English
  • Strong problem solving skills - we require someone who relishes the challenge of making the figures balance
  • Process driven with the ability to see mundane tasks through to their completion
  • Experience with tools like Brightpearl (ERP), Shopify, Amazon is a bonus (training provided).
