Who we are

Agena Bioscience GmbH is the European subsidiary of the U.S.-based life-science company Agena Bioscience, Inc., part of Mesa Laboratories, Inc. We develop and manufacture high-precision DNA analysis systems used worldwide in clinical research and diagnostics. Our technologies – including MALDI-TOF mass spectrometers, nano-dispensers, databases and software – enable laboratories to perform sensitive mutation and methylation analysis as well as oligo QC.

To strengthen our training and customer-education activities, we are expanding our studio-based content production.

We are looking for a

Working Student (f/m/d) – Digital Video Learning Content

This role is ideal for creative media students who enjoy technical topics and want hands-on experience producing professional learning content.

What Awaits You

• Creating short technical learning videos for distributors and end customers
• Filming on-site in our Hamburg studio using our professional camera equipment
• Setting up lighting, microphones and recording workflows together with our studio coordinator
• Editing, cutting and post-producing the recorded clips in ClipChamp (Microsoft) and optionally Blender
• Adding AI-generated English voice-overs according to our scripts and style guidelines
• Implementing our templates, visual standards and content guidelines
• Supporting small in-house productions and helping to continuously improve our studio setup
• Optional: contributing simple 3D elements or animations using Blender

Your Profile

• You are enrolled in a media-related degree program
• First practical experience in video creation or small productions (university projects, internships, personal projects)
• Solid understanding of camera basics, recording and simple studio workflows
• Experience with ClipChamp; basic knowledge of Blender is a plus
• Strong interest in visual storytelling and creating crisp, educational short clips
• Reliable, structured work approach and willingness to learn
• Good communication skills and comfortable working in an international environment
• Good command of German and English, spoken and written

Workload & Type of Role

• Flexible mini-job / working student position 
• 15–30 hours per month (13,90€ / hour)
• On-site at our Hamburg office

• a short video using publicly available Agena materials, or
• a simple instructional clip (e.g., explaining or repairing something)
• preferably with a short AI-generated English voice-over
