Research associate (m/f/x)

Ruhr University Bochum (RUB) is one of Germany’s leading research universities. At the Chair of Quantum Computing, we study what quantum devices can and cannot do. We combine ideas from computational complexity theory, quantum information theory, and whatever other tools prove useful.

Duration: fixed-term, 3 years

Your tasks:

The position involves research in the field of quantum information theory and quantum computing, in particular:

● Quantum cryptography

● Quantum algorithms and quantum complexity theory

● Quantum learning theory

At the request of the applicant (m/f/x), participation in teaching is possible.

Your profile:

Applicants are expected to have an excellent degree; Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Diplom (in a relevant academic field, such as: Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics).

Good English language skills are also required.
