Ihre Aufgaben:

• Contribute to interdisciplinary scientific research within Project A01 “Modelling the molecular determinants of intrinsic drug resistance in melanoma” of the newly established DFG-funded Collaborative Research Centre CRC/SFB 1752 “DYNAMO”, investigating the earliest mechanisms of therapy resistance in melanoma during the first days and weeks after therapy initiation: https://www.uni-due.de/crc1752/
• Design, develop and implement bioinformatics workflows for the analysis of high-throughput data
• Collaborate closely with experimental scientists on hypothesis generation, as well as analysis and interpretation of multi-omics datasets, including:
  • RNA sequencing (RNA-seq) & Single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq)
  • spatial transcriptomics
  • mass spectrometry data
  • phenocycler imaging data (development of scripts for spectral unmixing and analysis of high-dimensional imaging datasets)
• Integrate and analyze publicly available datasets to complement internally generated data
• Perform statistical analyses, data visualization, and interpret results in close collaboration with wet-lab researchers
• Document analysis pipelines and contribute to reproducible research practices
• Present findings on meetings and actively participate in scientific discussions

Ihr Profil:

• Completed Diploma or Master’s degree in bioinformatics, computational biology, biology, biostatistics, or a related discipline
• Strong interest in interdisciplinary research and close collaboration with experimental scientists
• Experience with statistical analysis and data visualization (e.g. R, Python)
• Familiarity with analysis of public datasets and data integration approaches
• Basic understanding of molecular and cellular biology
• Ability to work independently while supporting multiple collaborative projects
• Structured, reliable, and solution-oriented working style
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Experience in the analysis of high-throughput high-throughput data (e.g. RNA-seq, scRNA-seq, mass spectrometry) is an advantage
