Flight Test Engineer (m/f/d)

AMDC is an independent engineering service provider with core competencies in the defense

sector. Our focus is on advising the German Armed Forces and allied military forces in matters

related to military research and technology.

To support our team, we are looking for a

Flight Test Engineer (m/f/d)

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan and execute UAV flight tests and campaigns
• Design and execute comprehensive test plans
• Collaborate closely with software developers and hardware engineers for rapid iterations
• Conduct pre-flight, post-flight inspections and maintenance, logging test data and anomalies
• Coordinate closely with production, remote pilots, ground crew, software and systems engineers to ensure test readiness
• Analyze flight data, prepare test & incident reports, and recommend improvements
• Ensure flight readiness, safety and regulatory compliance
• Assist in documentation and drafting of manuals, checklists, etc.
• Support with campaigns within Germany

QUALIFICATION:

• Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• At least A1/A3 drone license, ideally, A2
• Experience in flying rotary and fixed-wing UAVs both in manual and automatic mode
• Practical experience planning and conducting system or flight tests.
• Experience with data processing and analysis using tools such as MATLAB or Python
• Proficient in English
• Driving license class B
• Straight communication and ability to give clear and direct feedback
• A plus is
  o experience with flight control systems
  o knowledge of SORA process
• Willingness to travel within Germany
