IT Manager - Multi-Site Operations 

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead and oversee all information technology operations across a network of 27 company locations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring reliable, secure, and cost-effective IT services that support business operations, productivity, and growth. This role combines strategic planning, infrastructure management, cybersecurity, vendor coordination, and team leadership in a complex multi-site environment.

Key Responsibilities

IT Strategy & Leadership

• Develop and implement the company's IT strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Lead IT operations across 27 geographically dispersed locations.
• Manage IT budgets, technology investments, and resource allocation.
• Advise senior management on technology trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Establish and enforce IT policies, standards, and best practices.

Infrastructure & Operations Management

• Ensure high availability and performance of IT infrastructure, including: 
  • Networks (LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, VPN)
  • Servers and cloud platforms
  • Data centres and edge systems
  • End-user computing devices
  • Telecommunications systems
• Standardise technology solutions across all locations.
• Monitor system performance and implement continuous improvements.
• Coordinate system upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure projects.

Multi-Site Support & Service Delivery

• Manage IT support services for all 27 sites.
• Define and maintain Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Ensure timely incident response and problem resolution.
• Coordinate local IT support resources and external service providers.
• Maintain business continuity across all locations.

Cybersecurity & Compliance

• Develop and maintain cybersecurity policies and controls.
• Oversee vulnerability management, threat monitoring, and incident response.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
• Conduct regular security audits, risk assessments, and disaster recovery testing.
• Manage identity and access management processes.

Project Management

• Lead IT projects from planning through implementation and support.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Manage system rollouts and standardisation initiatives across all sites.
• Deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget.

Vendor & Asset Management

• Manage relationships with hardware, software, telecommunications, and cloud vendors.
• Negotiate contracts and service agreements.
• Monitor vendor performance and compliance with contractual obligations.
• Oversee IT asset lifecycle management across all locations.

Team Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and develop IT staff and regional support teams.
• Establish performance goals and development plans.
• Promote a customer-focused service culture.
• Ensure effective communication between central IT and local site management.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7-10 years of progressive IT experience.
• Minimum 3-5 years in an IT leadership or management role.
• Experience managing IT operations across multiple locations.
• Strong knowledge of: 
  • Enterprise networking
  • Microsoft 365 and Azure environments
  • Cloud infrastructure
  • Cybersecurity frameworks
  • IT service management (ITIL)
  • Backup and disaster recovery solutions
• Experience managing external vendors and IT budgets.

Preferred Qualifications

• ITIL Foundation or higher certification.
• Microsoft Azure certifications.
• CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent security certification.
• Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile).
• Experience with ERP, manufacturing, logistics, retail, or multi-site operational environments.

Reporting To

Director of Operations, CEO

Direct Reports

IT Infrastructure Team, Service Desk Team, Network Engineers, Systems Administrators, Regional IT Coordinators, and external service providers.

Location: Head Office with regular travel to 27 operational sites.

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent.

Required Experience

• Minimum 7-10 years of progressive IT experience.
• Minimum 3-5 years in an IT leadership or management role.
• At least 5 years of proven experience managing IT operations in a similar multi-site environment, supporting multiple locations (20+ sites preferred) with responsibility for infrastructure, networking, end-user support, cybersecurity, and vendor management.
• Demonstrated experience standardising IT services and systems across geographically dispersed locations.
• Experience managing distributed support teams and coordinating third-party IT service providers.
