We have provided innovative fund solutions for asset managers and institutional investors since 1968. From our offices in Frankfurt, Krakow, Luxembourg, Dublin, Paris, Singapore and Stockholm, we continue to expand internationally. We are currently looking for entrepreneurial people who want to grow and share in the profits of our success.

We are looking for a hands-on IT System Engineer to support the daily operation, stability, and continuous improvement of our enterprise IT infrastructure in Frankfurt. This is a strongly operational role focused on ensuring high availability, reliable backup operations, and stable storage and virtualization platforms within a regulated environment.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • ·         Provide operational support and ensure the stable day-to-day running of server, storage, backup, and virtualization infrastructure.
  • ·         Administer and maintain Microsoft Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, file services, and permissions.
  • ·         Deliver 2nd and 3rd level support, troubleshoot complex incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions.
  • ·         Manage NetApp storage platforms, including provisioning, performance monitoring, capacity management, replication, and high-availability configurations.
  • ·         Administer Commvault backup and recovery services, ensuring successful backups, restore readiness, and disaster recovery support.
  • ·         Support VMware vSphere and/or Hyper-V environments, including VM provisioning, lifecycle management, performance monitoring, and high-availability solutions.
  • ·         Perform patch management, security hardening, system monitoring, and performance optimization across infrastructure platforms.
  • ·         Coordinate infrastructure maintenance activities, vendor engagements, firmware upgrades, and post-change validation.
  • ·         Work within ITIL-based Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes while maintaining accurate technical documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with audit, security, and regulatory requirements, ideally within a financial services or other regulated environment.

Your skills and experience:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; alternatively, completed vocational IT training with relevant professional experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, system engineering, or a similar technical environment.
  • Proven track record supporting and maintaining enterprise-scale infrastructure and business-critical systems.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Windows Server, NetApp ONTAP storage, Commvault backup solutions, and VMware and/or Hyper-V environments.
  • Experience working with production systems, high-availability architectures, and disaster recovery concepts.
  • Good understanding of ITIL-based service management processes, including Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
  • Fluent in both German and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities, with a structured and methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Service-oriented, reliable, and able to work effectively in a regulated and process-driven environment.
  • Comfortable collaborating with technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders across the organisation.

What we offer:

  • A dynamic and engaging workplace filled with exciting challenges
  • In-depth exposure to the European fund industry to enhance your expertise and career growth
  • A supportive and friendly atmosphere with a diverse, goal-oriented team
  • An empowering role that emphasizes independent work
  • Attractive perks, including a Deutschlandticket, discounts at our office canteen and various health benefits
  • A flexible hybrid working model
