Your Tasks
- Analyzing and extending existing software systems and applications in a heterogeneous, complex IT system environment based on an IBM mainframe architecture
- Extending and optimising existing systems and applications using DB2, IMS and CICS
- Software development with COBOL, SQL, JCL for mainframe software
- Creating and maintaining complex SQL queries for data retrieval
- Setting up automated batch processes within frameworks such as TWS/OPC
- IT project management and stakeholder management
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation for developed systems and applications
Your Profile
- Completed studies in practical / applied computer science or training as an IT specialist
- Experience in the mainframe environment with COBOL and in the conception of software as well as tuning options with practice in database modeling
- Practical experience with complex SQL queries as well as database performance analyses and their optimization
- Confident handling of database management systems, preferably DB2 and the associated database languages and tools
- Knowledge of the structures in TWS / OPC for setting up automated batch processes
Practical experience in IT project management, e.g. process risk analysis, requirements management, business client communication
- Good English language skills, knowledge of German and/or French is an advantage
