Stellenbeschreibung
Join us at GBS Digital Solutions, Innovation & AI Transformation, to build a new enterprise capability: the Knowledge-to-AI service. This service converts real operational knowledge into structured, governed assets that make AI reliable, scalable, and auditable in production. As a Senior Knowledge Graph & Ontology Consultant, you will take a leading role in scaling this service from proof-of-concept into a repeatable offering across Siemens. You will work at the intersection of business operations, semantic modelling, and AI, translating how work really happens into structured knowledge that powers automation, knowledge graphs, and AI agents. You will join an early-stage team and act as a senior counterpart in shaping the service model, driving client engagements, and establishing the semantic foundation that connects discovery, ontology, and AI execution end-to-end. What we offer you
- 2 to 3 days of mobile working per week as a global standard - Development opportunities for both personal and professional growth - 30 leave days and a variety of flexible working models that allow time off for yourself and your family - Share matching programs to become a shareholder of Siemens AG - Appealing Siemens pension benefits
Since each of over 300,000 team members feels that other benefits are particularly important, and we cannot list our entire benefit portfolio here, you can find more information here.
The individual benefits are subject to regulatory, contractual, or corporate conditions.
You’ll make an impact by
Driving end-to-end Knowledge-to-AI transformations- Lead engagements from process discovery through semantic modelling to AI-ready implementation, ensuring that operational knowledge becomes structured, reusable, and executable across systems.
Translating real operations into semantic structure- Convert observed process behavior, SOPs, and stakeholder knowledge into formal ontologies, making implicit rules, dependencies, and decision logic explicit and machine-readable.
Bridging discovery signals and semantic meaning- Use inputs such as task mining, workshops, and documentation to identify patterns, variants, and hidden effort, and formalize them into stable business objects, rules, and relationships.
Building the semantic backbone for AI systems- Design and validate ontologies that enable knowledge graphs and AI agents to operate on deterministic, governed knowledge rather than unstructured prompts.
Shaping a scalable service offering- Contribute to the definition of methods, templates, and reusable assets that turn ontology work from bespoke consulting into a standardized, repeatable Knowledge-to-AI service.
Partnering across Siemens’ semantic landscape- Align with enterprise initiatives (IT Data Analytics, DAI R, Foundational Services) to ensure interoperability, reuse of existing ontologies, and fit into the broader semantic layer strategy.
Advising AI, automation, and process design- Identify where structured knowledge creates the highest impact, from rule-based automation to AI-supported decision-making, and guide stakeholders toward viable implementation paths.
Building capability and community- Mentor colleagues, define best practices for ontology-driven transformation, and help establish a strong internal capability in knowledge modelling and AI-ready process design.
This is how you'll win us over
Education: Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Information Systems or a related field.- Experience & Skills:- You bring extensive experience in consulting, business architecture, or process transformation, with a track record of structuring ambiguous domains into clear, actionable models.- Proven ability to conceptualize complex systems and communicate their meaning in simple, logical frameworks.- Extensive experience conducting workshops, requirements engineering or business analysis.- Solid understanding of enterprise processes like AP, Procurement, Order Management, HR and Finance.- Familiarity with AI and automation initiatives, specifically how semantics enhance their functionality.
Ways of working:- Outstanding analytical and conceptual thinking skills, paired with a strong ability to structure meaning and create logical relationships.- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities, particularly in cross-functional and international environments.- Proactive approach to challenges with a focus on structured problem-solving and knowledge building.- Comfortable explaining complex concepts, facilitating discussions and managing information architecture.
Languages: Fluent English is essential; German proficiency is a strong advantage.- Nice-to-have: - Exposure to semantic modeling tools or frameworks like BPMN, UML, taxonomies, and domain models.- Conceptual knowledge of GenAI, such as RAG, knowledge graphs, or AI agents.- Familiarity with tools such as Miro, Jira, Confluence, or similar collaboration platforms.
