Your Role:
As the ERP Integration Lead for the our Life Science business, you will lead the governance, design, and continuous evolution of the application integration landscape supporting our global SAP S/4HANA transformation program. Working closely with Business Process and IT Solution Owners, the ERP Design and Build organization, the Deployment Leads, Integrated Enterprise Solutions as well as our implementation partners, you will drive the delivery of scalable, standardized, secure, and compliant integrations between SAP S/4HANA and connected business applications. You will provide technical leadership throughout the integration lifecycle from architecture and solution design through implementation, deployment readiness, and cutover support. Your leadership will ensure a robust and resilient integration landscape that enables successful global deployments while preserving enterprise architecture principles and clean core standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end ERP Integration function within the global SAP S/4HANA transformation program.
- Own the governance, quality, and continuous evolution of the application integration landscape supporting the global ERP template.
- Define and govern enterprise integration principles, interface standards, API strategies, middleware architecture, and integration patterns across SAP and connected business applications.
- Govern technical integration decisions and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture principles, clean core strategy, and global technology standards.
- Provide leadership and governance for the design, implementation, testing, and deployment of application integrations across functional workstreams and implementation partners.
- Ensure integration consistency and technical solution integrity across multiple concurrent deployment programs while balancing global standardization with justified local requirements.
- Partner closely with Deployment Leads to enable technical deployment readiness, interface validation, cutover planning, technical issue resolution, and successful deployment execution.
- Collaborate with ERP Design and Build, Data Migration, Testing, Validation, Security, Enterprise Architecture, Digital Manufacturing, and other technology teams to deliver an integrated enterprise solution.
- Ensure application integrations are designed, built, tested, and delivered in compliance with validation requirements, and global quality standards by partnering closely with Validation organizations to support deployments into regulated environments.
- Drive planning and governance for integration readiness, interface testing, technical defect resolution, deployment preparation, and cutover activities across all integrated applications.
- Identify technical risks, interface dependencies, and architectural constraints early and proactively manage mitigation plans to support successful program delivery.
- Provide leadership and direction to internal teams, external implementation partners, SAP, and technology vendors while driving accountability, delivery excellence, and effective collaboration.
- Leverage SAP Integration Suite, SAP Business Technology Platform, APIs, event driven architecture, and emerging SAP technologies to continuously improve the enterprise integration landscape and accelerate future deployments.
Who You Are:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
10 or more years of experience leading SAP integration, enterprise application integration, or large scale SAP S/4HANA transformation programs.
Extensive experience designing and governing enterprise application integration landscapes supporting SAP and non SAP business applications.
Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA technical architecture, SAP Integration Suite, SAP Business Technology Platform, APIs, middleware technologies, and modern enterprise integration patterns.
Proven leadership experience managing global technical teams and implementation partners across multiple concurrent initiatives.
Strong knowledge of enterprise integration governance, enterprise architecture, clean core principles, cybersecurity, and SAP implementation methodologies.
Demonstrated experience leading integration solution delivery in GxP regulated Life Science, Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, or similarly regulated industries is highly desirable.
Deep understanding of deployment readiness, integration testing, interface validation, technical cutover planning, and transition from build to deployment.
Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior business and IT leaders across global organizations.
Outstanding communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to balance technology strategy, business value, operational stability, risk, and delivery timelines.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross functional teams without direct authority in a matrix organization.
Experience leading multiple concurrent initiatives within a global ERP transformation program.
Fluent in English. German or another European language is considered an advantage.
