• You ensure a stable day-to-day operation of the Discover Airlines data platform, aligned with Lufthansa Group standards as a base for streamlined use case development
• You make suggestions for improvements of the platform and best practices for data engineering and DevOps
• You design, implement and operate Data & Analytics solutions in a DevOps/DataOps working environment, leveraging the possibilities of the data platform
• You work with different departments to prioritize and implement use cases from data retrieval, pipeline development to dashboard creation for easy insights and data driven decision making
• You support all colleagues with ad-hoc reporting requests
• You exchange with Lufthansa Group colleagues about group-wide solutions

Ihr Profil:

• You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in data science, physics, engineering, or a related field, combined with several years of relevant professional experience

• Ideally, you have hands-on experience in operating and maintaining analytics platforms

• You bring solid knowledge of DevOps principles and data engineering best practices

• You are proficient in working with cloud-based data platforms, preferably on Azure (e.g. Databricks, Data Factory)

• You have strong expertise in Python programming

• You have practical experience working with PySpark and SQL

• You are familiar with the end-to-end delivery of data and analytics projects

• You have experience with data visualization and/or simulation tools (e.g. Tableau, IBM Planning Analytics)

• Familiarity with the aviation industry is considered a plus

• You demonstrate an agile, pragmatic mindset combined with a hands-on working style

• You are fluent in both English and German
