Mechanical Design Engineer (m/f/d) Robotics

Your tasks:

• Design and improve mechanical components and assemblies for humanoid robotics prototypes
• Create and maintain manufacturing, assembly, and detailed drawings for actuator and joint systems
• Manage and optimize Bills of Materials (BOMs) for actuators, structural components, and assemblies
• Design brackets, interfaces, structural parts, and mounting elements using SolidWorks or similar CAD tools
• Perform tolerance analyses (Worst-Case and RSS) to ensure fit, functionality, and manufacturability
• Apply GD&T and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles throughout the design process
• Collaborate with electrical, software, and robotics engineers to ensure successful system integration

Your profile:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related field
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or comparable CAD software
• Experience with tolerance analysis, GD&T and DFM
• Background in precision mechanics, actuators, gearboxes, bearings, or motor integration is a plus
• Robotics experience is desirable
• Availability to work on-site several days per month is preferred
• Fluent in English; German is a plus
