Join our team to collaborate across different engineering areas, solve meaningful challenges creatively and transfer concepts from initial design, through prototyping and testing into real-world solutions.This is an opportunity to support key projects, use modern tools, and work in state-of-the-art facilities to create technologies that shape how energy systems evolve. You get to work on advancing power electronics used for Tesla products globally, thereby directly contributing to the acceleration of the world's transition to sustainable energy.
What You’ll Do
- Design, implement, and validate control algorithms for power semiconductor transients in power converters
- Develop embedded firmware, primarily in C, for real-time control applications in power converters
- Design, implement, and commission high-frequency, high-speed, and power electronic circuits using simulation and design tools like LTSPICE and Cadence
- Model and simulate power converter transients, to optimize the firmware for effective transient control
- Troubleshoot circuits on the bench using digital multimeters, oscilloscopes and soldering irons
What You’ll Bring
- At least 6 months of availability for a mandatory or voluntary internship
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or related field with a drive to solve multidisciplinary challenges
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience in embedded systems development with real-time control applications
- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting circuits on the bench
- Fundamental knowledge of power electronics
- Familiarity with power semiconductor transients is a plus
