Engineering Technician, Infotainment Products (m/w/d) Berlin, Germany

What to Expect

We are seeking a driven and motivated Engineering Technician to join our Infotainment Products Design team. This individual will work closely with electronics development and factory teams, driving validation tasks independently with minimal supervision. The work involves hands-on engagement with antennas, speakers, and radio systems. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, a self-starter, with solid software skills, and able to learn new concepts quickly.

What You’ll Do

• Work closely with electronics development teams to support hardware bring-up, validation, and debugging of infotainment components
• Collaborate with engineers to align test setups, validation processes, and production readiness requirements
• Uphold a clean and organized laboratory space, actively managing inventory to optimize efficiency; Construct and install testing fixtures to ensure accurate and reliable test setups
• Autonomously conduct tests, collecting and recording data for analysis; Use software scripts for test automation, data collection, and post-processing using Python or equivalent tools
• Perform post-processing of test data using software tools and analytical techniques to extract meaningful insights
• Document test procedures, setups, and results clearly and concisely; Efficiently manage multiple priorities, organize workloads, and meet critical deadlines
• Support driving tests for infotainment product validation

What You’ll Bring

Must-Have Experience

• Some years of hands-on automotive experience; Comfortable disassembling and reassembling vehicle components and electronics modules with precision and attention to details
• Software skills (required); Knowledge in Python or similar scripting languages; Ability to use automation scripts, process and analyze test data programmatically, and quickly learn new software tools and environments
• Systems thinking; Ability to learn complex systems, understand how they function end-to-end, and predict expected behavior to support troubleshooting and validation
• Test & validation experience; Hands-on experience building test equipment and running testing and validation of electronics and their functions, including constructing and installing test fixtures
• Communicate findings effectively using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Note: A valid driving license is requiredNice-to-Have Experience
• Engineering or technical degree, or equivalent job-relevant training
• Antenna, audio, or radio-specific validation experience
• Experience of assembling and disassembling electronics modules from vehicles with precision and attention to details
