A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Technical Sales Expert for DG GET within the SDCE team, you play a key role in driving the market adoption of Siemens Energy’s Grid‑Enhancing Technologies within the Digital Grid portfolio. Your focus is on digital asset intelligence and monitoring solutions that improve grid transparency, capacity utilization, and asset reliability.
You work closely between regional sales teams, customers and DGs portfolio management, and engineering experts to convert grid operational challenges into value‑driven DG GET solutions. Your daily work spans customer workshops, technical advisory sessions, solution shapingand sales and business development activities.
Acting as a trusted technical advisor, you support internally as well externally end‑to‑end across the sales lifecycle.
How You’ll Make an Impact
* Support regional and global sales teams in complex DG GET sales opportunities and customer engagements
* Lead and facilitate customer workshops, requirement clarification sessions, and technical deep dives to steer and provide valuable information for the got to market and sales commercialization
* Shape end‑to‑end DG GET solution concepts aligned with customer needs and Siemens Energy standards
* Transformer and Switchgear Digitalization – digital monitoring, analytics, and condition intelligence for transformer fleets and for medium‑ and high‑voltage switchgear
* DLR – Dynamic Line Rating (gridpulse) – real‑time optimization of overhead line capacity based on live environmental and operational data
* Advanced OHL Inspection – digital inspection and analytics solutions for overhead line condition assessment and risk mitigation
* Translate operational challenges such as aging assets or grid congestion into DG GET based digital solutions
* Act as an interface between sales, portfolio teams, digital experts, and delivery organizations
* Articulate customer value such as increased grid capacity, improved asset utilization, risk reduction, and lifecycle cost optimization
* Support sales activities and represent Siemens Energy in customer briefings, regional events, and industry forums
* Develop and maintain technical sales materials, use cases, reference architectures, and presentations
What You Bring
* University degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Automation, or a comparable technical discipline
* Several years of experience in technical sales, pre‑sales, consulting, or solution engineering in the energy or utility sector
* Strong understanding of grid assets, digital monitoring, analytics, and grid optimization concepts
* Experience working with utilities, TSOs, DSOs, or industrial grid operators
* Ability to translate complex digital and technical concepts into clear customer value propositions
* Experience working in international, matrixed organizations
* Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder‑management skills
* Fluency in English; German or additional languages are an advantage
* Willingness to travel to support customers and regional teams
