About us

Our Internal Audit department is an essential component of the company's corporate governance and supports the Executive Board and Supervisory Board in ensuring effective risk, control, and compliance management. To strengthen our team in Mainz, we are seeking a Corporate Commercial Auditor (m/f/d)* to start as soon as possible.

Your Contribution

  • You will independently plan and conduct audits within the international corporate group and participate in special audits.
  • You will analyze and evaluate commercial, financial, and operational processes for compliance and cost-effectiveness, as well as the effectiveness of internal control systems (ICS).
  • You will identify risks, weaknesses, and areas for improvement and derive recommendations for action from these findings.
  • You will present audit results in a manner tailored to the audience and serve as a competent point of contact for executives and relevant stakeholders.
  • You monitor the implementation of agreed-upon measures and evaluate their effectiveness.
  • You support the continuous development of SCHOTT standards for audit procedures and methods.

Your Profile

  • You have successfully completed a degree in economics, business administration, business law, or a comparable field. Additional qualifications such as CIA, CPA, or comparable certifications are a plus.
  • You have operational work experience in a business environment, ideally in internal audit or public accounting.
  • You have knowledge of the German Commercial Code (HGB) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and have already gained initial experience in the area of audit and documentation requirements (governance requirements, ESG/CSRD reporting, etc.).
  • You have a good understanding of risks, complex processes, and internal control systems.
  • You are proficient in using MS Office and SAP S/4HANA.
  • You combine analytical skills with strong communication and teamwork abilities and work in a structured and solution-oriented manner.
  • You have excellent written and spoken German and English skills and are willing to travel both domestically and internationally.
