WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
We in Agricultural Solutions are preparing to be an independent, pure-play agricultural company within BASF group. To be ready for independence, we are looking for you to join us in our new Corporate roles (see here: build your career on our Standalone Transformation).
- In your role, you support the preparation of the Group's external financial reports, including annual and interim financial statements, the management report ("Lagebericht") and regulatory filings, ensuring accurate and IFRS‑compliant reporting outputs.
- Your knowledge is in demand as you contribute to preparing notes and disclosures, performing consistency checks, and reviewing reporting content for alignment with consolidated figures and accounting policies.
- Furthermore, you play an important role in ensuring that group accounting policies and IFRS interpretations defined by Accounting Governance / IFRS are correctly applied and appropriately reflected in all external reporting components.
- In addition, you contribute to translating technical accounting topics into clear and compliant disclosures, supporting the preparation of audit‑ready materials for areas such as business combinations, impairments, provisions and equity‑related topics.
- Last but not least, you collaborate with external auditors and work closely with colleagues from Consolidation, Accounting, Legal, Tax, Treasury, ESG and Investor Relations to ensure consistent messaging, completeness and high‑quality external reporting deliverables.
WHAT YOU OFFER
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
- at least 3 years of experience in external reporting, audit or related areas, ideally in an IFRS environment
- strong hands-on expertise in IFRS-based external financial reporting and a solid understanding of end-to-end reporting processes including close, disclosure preparation and publication cycles in a group environment
- good understanding of group accounting policies and IFRS interpretations, as well as hands-on experience with financial reporting and disclosure tools and their interfaces
- proven digital and AI focus with the ability to leverage modern technologies and data-driven approaches to enhance efficiency and quality
- excellent English skills as well as solid familiarity with SAP ERP, disclosure tools and common MS Office applications
- clear and effective communication skills, strong analytical thinking, solution orientation and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
