In order to support Air Power Engineering, Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a

**Technical Project Manager within the Eurofighter Flight Control Joint Team (d/f/m) **

As a Technical Project Manager in the Eurofighter Flight Control Joint Team, you will be responsible for the technical leadership and coordination of development projects in the area of Eurofighter flight control systems. You will ensure that technical objectives are met and project phases are managed efficiently to guarantee the performance and safety of the system.

Your tasks and responsibilities

Leadership and coordination of technical project activities within the Eurofighter Flight Control Joint Team, for a start particularly for the P4E upgrade program.

  • Responsibility for the definition, planning, and monitoring of technical work packages and milestones.
  • Ensuring compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and aviation regulations.
  • Coordination of technical interfaces with internal departments, external partners, and customers.
  • Risk management and the development of mitigation strategies for technical project risks.
  • Creation and maintenance of technical documentation, reports, and presentations.
  • Management of reviews and verification activities for flight control systems.
  • Participation in and leadership of technical working groups and steering committees.
  • Support in the preparation of offers and contract negotiations from a technical perspective
Desired skills and qualifications
  • Completed university degree (Master's or Diploma) in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a comparable technical field.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in project management and the development of flight control systems or complex avionics, ideally in a military environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Eurofighter system architecture, particularly the flight control systems, is advantageous.
  • Experience with agile development methods and classic project management frameworks (e.g., PMI, PRINCE2).
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate interdisciplinary teams.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills on negotiation level in English required; German language skills are advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Independent working style, resilience, and assertiveness.
  • Willingness to travel within the scope of international project cooperation.
