We are seeking a

Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) Solution Manager (d/f/m)

within the Airpower Engineering organization.

As an MBSE Solution Manager, you will be a key enabler in our Air Power Engineering organization, enabling MBSE modelling and model management activities for complex systems and system-of-systems development projects.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• Configure, tailor and operate our MBSE solutions (incl. Tools and Extensions) to ensure they are operationally accessible, high-performing, reliable, secure, scalable, and compliant with relevant industry standards in engineering projects.
• Collaborate closely with MBSE managers, system engineers, technical management and infrastructure management to drive innovation and excellence in MBSE practices.
• Mentor and inspire teams by fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement, encouraging them to achieve their best.
• Represent Engineering MBSE in project, cross-project, and cross-divisional forums, as well as in communities of practice and conferences, showcasing your expertise and leadership.
• Extend and integrate MBSE tools such as IBM Doors, Cameo Systems Modeler, and 3D Experience to enhance functionality and user experience.
• Govern MBSE solutions in Engineering and present them effectively at various abstraction layers, ensuring alignment with engineering needs and business goals.
• Bridge the gap between MBSE needs and generic MBSE solutions, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance in Engineering.

Desired skills and qualifications

• A forward-thinking enabler with a solid understanding of software development lifecycles and release management, eager to drive innovation and improve development and release processes.
• An experienced hands-on software architect with a strong background in extending, configuring, connecting and integrating MBSE tools like IBM Doors, Cameo Systems Modeler, and 3D Experience.
• A proactive contributor with proven ability to integrate and maintain plugins and applications developed in Bitbucket/Git.
• A tireless challenger who is comfortable governing and presenting MBSE solutions for engineering in communities of practice or conferences at various abstraction layers.
• A strong communicator who can align MBSE needs with generic MBSE solutions, ensuring effective communication across teams and functions.
• A passionate engineer with a bachelor's degree in software engineering or similar.
• A diplomatic collaborator who is fluent in English. Proficiency in German, Spanish, French, and/or Italian would be an advantage.
• A problem solver with a proactive mindset and the ability to tackle complex challenges in a dynamic environment.
• A team player who thrives in a collaborative setting and is eager to share knowledge and best practices.
