In order to support A400M Production Control team, Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a

Working Student within A400M Production Control (d/f/m)

You are a full time student, looking for a working student position and want to get to know the work of Production Control in a military aircraft MRO environment? Then apply now! We look forward to you supporting us in A400M MRO&Retrofit Production Control Germany as a working student (d/f/m) with approx. 18 hours a week!

  • Location: Manching, A400M hangar
  • Start: 1st September
  • Duration: 7 months / 6 to 12 months
Definition working student

Working students are students who are enrolled at a University or some other institution of higher education, and who are employed in a reasonably long, fixed-term position parallel to their studies. This position must not be confused with an internship or with the possibility of writing a final thesis.

This employment usually takes place directly on the company's premises. A working student's main focus remains on their studies, which is why, during term-time, working students are not allowed to work more than 20 hours per week.

Working students therefore usually work near their place of study, so as to conveniently combine studying and employment.

Your tasks and responsibilities
  • KPI development, tracking and visualization regarding production progress and missing parts
  • Collaborate with various departments (e.g., engineering, logistics, quality) to resolve production-related issues and participate / lead in meetings (e.g. findings meeting with customer
  • Maintain and update production control databases and systems and support the team with general administrative tasks as required
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives within the production control environment
  • Assist with data analysis to identify trends and areas for optimization with potential use of Airbus AI
Desired skills and qualifications
  • Enrolled fill time student (d/f/m) in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google tools
  • Basic knowledge of AI and RPAs
  • Basic understanding of production planning and control principles is a plus
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills and ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken); German language skills are highly beneficial.
