To strengthen the chair of Data Science (Prof. Jan Prüser) we are looking for a part-time research & teaching assistant (f/m/d) to start on July 1, 2026 for the location Oestrich-Winkel. The possibility of a doctorate is given.

Interaction of science and practice

Ihre Aufgabe

Conduct independent and collaborative research in macroeconometrics, with a focus on structural VAR models
Contribute to research projects and aim to publish in international academic journals
Assist in teaching econometrics and data science courses (e.g., tutorials, grading, student support)
Support the preparation of teaching materials, presentations, and administrative tasks at the chair
Pursue a doctoral degree (PhD) within the research area of the chair

Ihr Profil

Master’s degree in Econometrics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related quantitative field
Strong interest in macroeconometrics, particularly structural VAR models
Solid programming skills (e.g., R, MATLAB, Julia, Python or similar)
Excellent analytical skills and a strong motivation to conduct academic research and publish
Prior research experience is a plus
