Job Description

As Project Lead for Network Detection & Response Evaluation, you will drive the selection and proof of concept validation of an Network Detection & Response solution and ensure it fits our Security Operations Center operating model and technical landscape. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, define success criteria, manage risks (e.g., performance, integration, compliance), and deliver a decision-ready recommendation including a roadmap from PoC to operational rollout.

Your tasks include the folliwing responsibilities:

  • Leading the structured evaluation and selection of a Network Detection and Response solution, including requirements definition, vendor comparison, and decision preparation
  • Planning and executing a proof of concept to validate detection capabilities, operational fit, and technical feasibility in a Security Operations Center environment
  • Defining and aligning target use cases and success criteria for network-based threat detection and response, focusing on visibility gaps and anomaly detection
  • Driving the integration concept into existing Security Operations Center tooling and processes, ensuring alignment with monitoring, investigation, and response workflows
  • Coordinating cross-functional stakeholders across cyber security, infrastructure, and network domains to ensure alignment on architecture, data sources, and deployment approach
  • Evaluating the reuse and integration of existing network telemetry and sensor data to optimize cost, complexity, and time-to-value
  • Developing and documenting a target operating model for network-based threat detection and response within cyber security operations
  • Identifying and managing key project risks, including performance impact, integration complexity, resource constraints, and data protection requirements
  • Preparing management-ready recommendations, including solution comparison, risk assessment, and roadmap towards implementation and operationalization

Qualifications

  • Academic Degree in a related field or comparable qualification
  • Proven experience in leading cyber security or information technology projects on enterprise level, ideally in evaluation or implementation of detection and monitoring capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of network-based threat detection and response principles, including behavioral analytics and anomaly detection approaches.
  • Practical knowledge of enterprise network environments and data sources within large-scale enterprise environments, such as network flow data and traffic analysis approaches.
  • Experience working with Security Operations Center environments and related platforms, including monitoring, alerting, and incident handling processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and execute structured evaluation processes and proof of concepts with clear success criteria.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical findings into business-relevant recommendations.
  • Solid understanding of compliance, governance, and data protection requirements in cyber security contexts
  • Business fluent English language skills (written and spoken)

Advantageous

  • Experience in integrating detection and monitoring solutions into complex enterprise environments, including cross-domain architectures.
  • Background in threat hunting, detection engineering, or incident response.
  • Familiarity with network and endpoint security technologies and their interaction within a holistic security architecture.
  • Experience in environments combining information technology and operational technology with specific monitoring requirements.
  • Relevant certifications in project management or cyber security.
