Tasks & responsibilities
- Lead the global Medical Affairs strategy for the obesity triple agonist across development, launch, and lifecycle
- Represent Medical Affairs on the Global Brand Leadership Team, contributing to governance and strategic decision‑making
- Provide medical leadership for Phase III development, indication strategy, and lifecycle planning
- Drive the Integrated Evidence Plan (IEP) in collaboration with Clinical Development, Market Access, and Evidence Generation
- Lead scientific and medical engagement with Health Authorities, HTA bodies, and key external stakeholders to support future labeling, access, and adoption
- Partner with regional and local Medical Affairs teams to ensure launch readiness and post‑launch excellence globally
- Integrate clinical and real‑world evidence into clear, compelling medical narratives for internal and external use
- Build and lead a high‑performing global Medical Affairs team, developing scalable capabilities and top talent.
Requirements
- M.D. or Ph.D. with extensive Medical Affairs leadership experience, within obesity, and or GLP-1 segment with strong foundational knowledge of clinical drug development
- Senior leadership experience in global, regional, and/or key‑market Medical Affairs roles, with accountability for strategy, governance, and people leadership
- Proven ability to develop externally focused, competitive Medical Affairs strategies, including experience supporting label shaping, regulatory interactions, and pre‑launch evidence readiness
- Experience supporting late‑stage development, launch preparation, and post‑launch medical excellence, including interactions with Health Authorities in major markets (e.g., US, EU)
- Strong track record of cross‑functional leadership and influence within complex global matrix environments
- Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills, with credibility at senior internal and external scientific levels
- Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and develop high‑performing Medical Affairs teams
